It is a well-known fact that an increasing number of people today expect services, information, and daily tasks to be completed instantly. Despite some obvious flaws associated with this trend, they are eclipsed by the overwhelming benefits it brings to individuals and society.

On the one hand, there are two primary drawbacks to the growing preference for instant results. Firstly, advancement of digital technology such as high-speed Internet and mobile applications now allow people to access information and complete tasks immediately. As a result, more people repeated exposure to fast and efficient digital services leads individuals to develop an expectation of instant responses in other areas of life. Secondly, the increasing pace of modern life contributes to this issue, as busy schedules and heavy work stress push people to prioritise efficiency and quick outcomes. As a result, they become less patient of any delayed processes.

On the other hand, the positive aspects of instant accessibility far outweigh these aforementioned drawbacks. The main reason is that it allows people to save time for productive activities. For example, online banking apps tools enable users to complete financial transactions or organise schedule within second, reducing waste time. Additionally, not only does getting results reduce patience, it also negatively affects the quality of work. When too much emphasis is placed on speed, people rush through tasks and often neglect accuracy or careful reflection. This lack of engagement can lead to poor decision-making at work.

In conclusion, the desire to get things done instantly offers more to gain than to lose, despite its minor shortcomings. By acknowledging its limitations, individuals can dodge them and fully capitalise on the speed and convenience of modern technology.
