In the present, more and more people prefer ordering food than preparing it at home. While affordable prices, compared to homemade meals, and time-saving are the primary merits, the possibility of being unhealthy can be the main drawback.
Purchasing food is much more affordable compared to making it at home. In the present, prices rise almost day by day. For making food all ingredients should be bought and all together they can cost a lot. As a result, preparing food at home can be even more expensive or similar to an ordered meal. Especially, in developed countries, meals are affordable and even cheap. Consequently, individuals order a meal instead of spending hours on it, and they tend to spend their time with their family and friends. For instance, McDonald’s is one of the world’s biggest food chains, and it has a significant number of restaurants in the USA, and because prices are cheap, even most homeless people can purchase it.
However, ordered food is not always fresh, and it can lead to being unhealthy. Generally, the taste of an ordered meal is delicious; as a result, people purchase it more and more. On the other hand, they are not aware of the ingredients and conditions that it was made. Human beings need vitamins and minerals; unfortunately, outside food does not comprise them all the time. Furthermore, food can be prepared in appalling conditions. As a consequence, health issues can occur and result with serious problems. For instance, due to the overuse of fast foods, the majority of the US population have obesity.
In conclusion, many people buy food from outside rather than making it at home. While affordability is the main benefit; medical problems caused by a lack of vitamins and minerals can be the key disadvantage.
