Advantage And Disadvantage

Band 6+: Nowadays, more students are allowed to use technology at a very young age. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this trend?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In today’s world, children begin using digital devices such as tablets and smartphones from an early age. While this trend may be disadvantageous because it can spoil children’s minds and expose them to inappropriate content, I personally believe that the advantages are more significant, as it helps them adapt to modern life and develop essential technological skills from childhood.

On the one hand, using digital devices at a very young age can negatively affect on children’s minds, since there can be undesirable content for children. In other words, in the Internet can be a lot of different content in various fields. It is hard to parents to control the children’s content, and this can lead to the problems with psyche at the young age. Parents can make the restrictions for the content that their child watch, but usually it does not work, because if parents do not allow something for their children, they will start to find the ways to bypass these restrictions. At the end, the situation will not change and unwelcome content will fall into the hands of children.

On the other hand, despite the problem with unwelcome content on the Internet, I firmly believe that using digital devices at a very young age can also be helpful for the children’s future, because on the Internet can also be a very valuable information. Nowadays IT specialists are in demand, but to become them, people have to learn a lot of information in the field of artificial intelligence and computer science. If parents from a young age of their child instill a love of computer technology in the child, it is more likely that in the future they can connect this knowledge with their future career, it will provide them a successful and independent future.

In conclusion, using digital devices may not be good at a young age for children; however, I strongly believe that with this phenomenon, they will adapt to modern life from young age and have a successful future in the field of computer science
