In recent times, a trend has been observed of making work spaces and educational institutes open concept instead of building designated rooms. In my opinion, I believe with the growing masses and limited space it is very important to impose open space concept for the development.
To begin with, A lot of institutions are nowadays opting for open space environment as it helps in building team work when all the employees are working together under the same roof. With the growing population it is important to use space efficiently. It allows to accommodate more activities to be done in a smaller area. Moreover, this concept looks modern and is more appreciated by the young audience.
Furthermore, it is considered by many that allocating separate rooms can be approximately 30 to 40 percent expensive as many labor hours will be required to build the extra walls as well as the material cost will increase exponentially. Another drawback of this type of concept is that rooms are much smaller and cluttered.
In my opinion, going for an open concept format is ideal for all the institutions because of the financial benefits it possess as well as the better performance from the students and employees. It also create a sense of belongingness by sharing the space with coligues which enhances team work.
