Discrepancy between nations have become less visible over time because of the similarities in the way how people dress, eat and consume brands and entertaining materials. There has much been controversy about whether this trend brings more drawbacks or benefits. From my perspective, the disadvantages are greater.
It is understandable why some people assume that the mixed culture is beneficial. One clear advantage of this is that when the popularity of specific brands or products become evident across the globe, residents in many countries may have more opportunities to buy these things with affordable prices. This is because, the purpose of these companies is to approach all the potential market, providing people with varying income can purchase these things easily. Furthermore, with the prevalence of internet, people today can easily access to abundant content available across many flatforms to gain insights about foreign films, products as well as food. As a result, individuals can have better understanding about different culture, custom and tradition of all people around the world.
However, I believe that there are greater disadvantages to the combination of various cultures. Chief among these is that once the international brands, films or advertisement were introduced to one country, with its long-held fame, it would invade the domestic market of that country, leading small brands and companies have no chance to become successful in this field. One downside of a mixed culture world worth mentioning is that If governments did not put enough strict restrictions on the amount of content, habits presenting flatforms such as TV and internet, the traditional value would become blurring over time. Therefore, experiencing and learning from diverse culture is valuable for each person, but it should be regulated to a certain extent.
In conclusion, it is apparent that the decline in differences between countries brings more disadvantages than the advantages. However, with appropriate regulations from the ministry, the negative side could be reduced and controlled.
