As an instance, most of students who move abroad for education rely on applications such as WhatsApp and Zoom to stay in daily contact with their families and friends. Through instant messaging, voice notes and video calls, they able to share significant life events and provide emotional support despite being physically separated. This constant communication reduces feelings of isolation and strengthens personal bonds. Thereby, geographical gap is no longer a significant barrier to maintaining meaningful relationships.
Yet, it can not be denied that technics can as well negatively affect depth and authenticity of communication. On social media platforms such as Instagram, users often present carefully edited versions of their lives, highlighting only positive moments. This can create unrealistic expectations and encourage unhealthy comparisons among peers. Furthermore, excessive reliance on online interaction may reduce opportunities for face-to-face communication, limiting the development of essential social skills such as interpreting body language and expressing empathy. Consequently, some relationships formed online may become superficial and lack genuine emotional connection.
