In recent years, tourists have started visiting isolated natural areas more often than previous years, from mountains to rainforests; However, this widespread trend has several advantages and disadvantages which we’re going to discuss in this essay.
One major advantage is that it gives people a sense of liberty, allowing them to explore and do whatever they wanted and more. in addition, these areas cultivate a feeling of tranquillity and learning strength along the way. To illustrate this, an elderly woman decides to go on these quiet spots to get her mind off of things after her husband’s death which has effected her mental health and needed to reflect on herself and her life as a whole. As a result, when an individual comes back from these trips, they handle things better and feel more calm than before.
However, one significant disadvantages is that these spots are extremely dangerous, harmful, and not for everyone to explore. Moreover, they require an expertise, or a specialized tour guide to walk them through these area. For instance, a family of two and go for a walk in the forest with their toddler alone and suddenly this entire family goes missing and police can’t track them down easily. Therefore, an umpteenth number of people go missing every year and becomes harder for anyone to find them even with modern technology.
In conclusion, while the advantages are ultimately positive, but the disadvantages of numerous tourists visiting isolated areas considerably outweighs the advantages for it adverse effects on the safety of the tourists.
