Children are the future of mankind. In order for a child to succeed in their later stages, parents pressurise them a lot. Although this may be a good thing in some cases, overall it has proved to be bad as it affects their memories and make them lose focus on things that matter. It can also take a toll on their mental health to a point that is irrepairable.
People who grow up to be a successful adult, often quote their parents as the helping hands during their childhood journey. Building good memories take time, but not the bad ones. One bad memory can ruin one’s mind, turning them into an antagonist. During early ages, an individual’s brain is not full developed. So, the teen years are an important phase of one’s life for shaping brain in either a positive or a negative way. A classic example could be a boy, constantly harrassed by his parents to score good in studies, grows up to become a very scared, demotivated and lonely person.
Parents generally think that pressure can help their child become a great person. But not all carbon convert into diamond when given pressure. The mental strain on them can affect their focus on more important things in life. Instead of improving, grades might go down. Afterall, they are humans, not robots, we cannot expect them to follow every command. Mental counselling should be readily available to them. In many countries, like the United States and Switzerland, prioritising children mental health has become a necessary step in order to provide them quality education.
In conclusion, children make future, but in order for them to succeed, they need to be motivated, instead of pressurised. Their mental health matters a lot and positive talks helps them overcome hurdles in life.
