Some people argue that parents should be punished for the crimes of their minor children, while others believe that children are responsible for their own actions. This essay will discuss both views before I disagree with the idea of punishing parents.
Parents play a crucial role in shaping children’s behaviour and mindset. Since kids spend most of their years under their parents’ influence, poor parenting and lack of attention can cause criminal actions. For example, if parents show abusive parenting to them, they will be cruel and ruthless. Because the child is a reflection of their actions.
However, there are strong reasons why parents should not take penalty for children’s offences. Firstly, even good parenting and responsible from parents cannot control their choices. Things like personal psychology, social media, bad community inside home can lead a kid did the crime. Secondly, this solution doesn’t guarantee us that those child will not repeat it again. So they must understand, and take the punishment on themselves.
For conclusion, while parents play an important role in raising children, they must be response for actions, and think about aftermath. Every person who commit crime should be punished whatever of their age.
