Nowadays educating children is the main source of concern for parents. It is believed that youngsters should be involved in physical training more rather than in academic studies. Although I have some reasons to agree, I also have some reasons to disagree.
Initially, indulging in sporting activities helps children lay the foundation of a healthy lifestyle from early stages. In comparison to the elderly, children are less aware of the necessity of being fit as it prevents future threats of hazardous diseases. For instance, physically strong children can easily overcome dreaded diseases such as cancer, hepatitis, diabetes, etc. compared to young individuals who are not engaged in sports. Furthermore, doing especially team-based sports instill in children a sense of unity and devotion. It teaches them to co-operate and fight for a common goal which leads to accepting both achievements and defeats as their own.
On the other hand, gained literacy owing to educational institutions should not be disregarded. Firstly, in our competitive world, almost all demanding and high-paid jobs require people with good academic results. For instance, people working in fields that involve a lot of mental effort such as finance, medicine, and informatics have opportunities to make more profit. Moreover, academic performance develops analytical and logical thinking. Through studying individuals can produce various possible ways of dealing with the problems in each sphere of life.
In conclusion, although acquiring a healthy life routine and skills of collaboration can be reasons for physical activities, possible reasons for studying would involve well-paid job opportunities and problem-solving abilities.
