It is undeniable that people always try to achieve work-life harmony but only a minority are successful in doing so. The financial pressure and the lack of time management skills in work can significantly contribute to this phenomenon. However, it can be addressed by some solutions implemented by both the government and corporations, such as imposing laws on working hours and creating time-managing skills programs.
Granted, the living cost has escalated at an unprecedented level, putting a financial burden on the laborers. For instance, the average house price in Ho Chi Minh City is 32.5 times higher than household income. That is the reason why workers suppose that if they do not devote themselves heavily to working, they cannot meet their needs, leading to their hectic schedules. Another reason is the insufficient knowledge of time management. Research reveals that frivolous activities, especially browsing on social media for no purpose and playing video games, can cost an employee at least one or two hours every day, leading to an unnecessary extra amount of time in the workplace. Overall, these two reasons can be crucial factors contributing to this issue.
Nonetheless, this problem can be tackled by some actionable solutions. Firstly, the government should impose laws on working hours to ensure the health of the laborers. Although working to get lavish remuneration is important to make their ends, under no circumstances should they devote their health to pursue affluent property. That is why the government should take action to protect workers from their own desires. Secondly, corporations should create training sections for employees to learn how to manage their time better. For example, exercising five to ten minutes for recharging throughout the day between each thirty-minute working period may help the workers, mitigating exhaution and improving productivity.
In conclusion, although there are many reasons behind it, we can solve it by many practical actions. Enforcement of laws regulating working hours by authorities and reasonable individual time-saving plans, for instance, can improve this situation.
