Band 7+: People should look after their health for personal benefits, rather than a duty for a society. What extent do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In this day and age, there is a heated debate about whether individuals should prioritize their health for personal merits rather than social responsibilities. From my perspective, I wholeheartedly concur with this notion due to multitude of its advantages.

First and foremost, a sense of well-being allows people to have the better quality of life. Specifically, strength is the main key that opens doors to various aspects of employment and education. In addition, it fosters their emotional stability and a state of willingness to achieve whatever they desire. As a result, it invigorates individuals to pursue their personal aspirations and navigate daily challenges with resilience and determination, free from hesitation or procrastination. Otherwise, humans have the tendency to be against the disciplines and rules related to healthcare, deterring them from accomplish their own goals. For example, some research indicates that approximately 70% of employees being hale and hearty are likely to have a higher level of productivity and work more efficiently, compared to their counterparts experiencing fatigue or discomfort.

Another point worth considering is that both physical and mental robustness play a crucial role in mitigating healthcare cost. This is because healthier individuals can incur fewer medical expenses, as they experience fewer ailments or illnesses, which consequently alleviate the financial burden associated with medical care. Thus, this enables people concentrate more on improving their quality of life instead of being encumbered by concerns about healthcare expenditures. Moreover, prioritizing personal health acts as a proactive measure against the onset of chronic diseases, thereby safeguarding their well-being over time.

To sum up, I hold a firm belief that personal merits should be ranked above rather than societal obligations, when it comes to health. Therefore, individuals ought to improve their health to achieve the better quality of life.
