Opinions are divided on whether team sports or personal ones are more advantageous. From my perspective, both types of game offer different benefits regarding their nature, thus people can choose which to pick up as a hobby according to their needs and likings.
On the one hand, taking part in sports that require playing as a team can equip players with essential skills to work with other individuals such as cooperation and solving conflicts. Regarding the former, in order to work together efficiently, people have to acquire a thorough understanding of their teammates like their personality and mindset. This will help them connect on a deeper level, knowing their counterparts’ next move and play accordingly may lead to victory. Furthermore, disagreements are inevitable when working as a team. Therefore, encountering such situations requires players to trace the root of the problem so as to come up with the solution. This skill is not only helpful when it comes to sport, but also in daily life.
On the other hand, playing individual sports also enables people to foster another set of skills, which is also crucial compared to those required in teamwork. The major advantage of engaging in these personal sports is the ability to develop effective strategies based on the knowledge of the player’s personal traits. Partaking in games such as tennis or swimming allows people to reflect on themselves more frequently, as a result, they can improve their weaknesses and develop their strength in order to excel and win the match. Besides, when working on your own, there is absolutely no conflict, which helps reduce the time spent on solving this problem and concentrate more on self-advancement.
In conclusion, each kind of sport is associated with different positive aspects. Players can acquire collaboration and solving disagreements by playing team sports or encourage self-improvement when it comes to individual ones. For these aforementioned reason, people can choose what game suits them the most without bothering which one is better.
