It is believed that neglecting social media channels might result in career advancement setbacks. However, experiencing social media networks has its negative and positive aspects which I will mention and explain in this essay.
Firstly, interpersonal skills are more powerful. because Instead of sending a message through social media such as messenger, instagram, snapchat, to name but a few, we are able to use personal speaking skills to make a conversation with other people
Secondly, social media has too many risks. For instance, some famous actors and singers actors and singers in Korea killed themselves due to toxic comments from public opinion. Most recently, Lee Sun Kyun who used honeycomb coal to suicide in his personal car in 2023. Furthermore, getting qualifications is more important than spending time on social media platforms because they ensure individuals to have necessary skills and knowledge to perform tasks effectively, which technology alone cannot substitute.
On the other hand, social media is good for networking with friends, family members or gathering latest information on different platforms and this is a good environment to build social media skills for people but we cannot take advantage of social networks too much.
In conclusion, I firmly disagree that people who do not use social networks will never succeed in career development opportunities because personal skills are more important and the risks of social media bring to people.
