Band 5+: People who were athletic as children do not engage in physical activity as much as they get older. Why is this happening? What can be done to address this decline?

It is said that many people used to be athletes in their childhood. But with overtime, their lifestyle changes and they don’t do their sports activities like they used to. This essay will initially postulate that the principal factors contributing to this phenomenon are lack of access to facilities or equipment and sedentary work environments and then argue that creating freely gyms to do exercises and use active transportation represent the most feasible solutions.

Studies have shown that a majority people who were athletes, nowadays, because of lack of access to facilities and sedentary workplace, they cannot do their daily sports routine. In fact, children have a lot of equipment such as playgrounds, school gyms, and training facilities, who can enjoy and do their sports easily. Whereas, in an adulthood, people do not have common facilities near their apartments or workplaces, so they force to away from sports. Additionally, many adults may not have strength financial to join high level gyms. As a result, without access to facilities, maintaining an active lifestyle becomes more challenging. Furthermore, individuals must work in their workplace for hours and according to they just have an uncomfortable chairs and desks; thus, they do not have any physical activities. This kind of lifestyle can decrease their energy and increase health problems such as backache.

To deal with these difficulties, people and governments play a crucial role such as construction freely gyms and use active transportation. Lack of access to equipment can be solved, provided that governments implement effective ideas. For instance, they can build several gyms around cities with typical facilities that citizens can use them freely. Moreover, employees ought to set some physical activities in their schedules, to illustrate, walking and biking. Sometimes, they can go to their work by bike and in during of their work, they can walk for minutes to increase their heartbeat and boost their energy.

In conclusion, lack of access to facilities and sedentary work environments has a direct impact on not including exercise routines in people’s lifestyles. To overcome with these issues, governments need to build some new gyms in across the cities without any fee and staff should use active transportation in their lifestyles.
