Nowadays, transport and accommodation problems are increasing considerably in many cities. While some governments encourage businesses to relocate to rural areas, I believe that there are more positive sides than the drawbacks.
From an economic standpoint, it can reduce traffic congestion in big cities. For example, the number of cars come from another region to work but with this approach traffic jams will reduce significantly and people shouldn’t travel for a long distance. Subsequently, it can create several employment opportunities in rural areas. Which helps to decrease unemployment rates and improve lifestyle in rural areas. In addition, with creating new jobs, the skyrocket price of houses in urban areas can decline considerably, as people will have more employment opportunities in rural regions and will not need to migrate to cities in search of work.
On the other hand, while business encouragement effects to the economy, it has also ecological damage to the environment. For instance, it can lead to the deforestation which contributes cut down trees and increases air pollution in rural areas. Moreover, the lack of infrastructure can be another problem. Because in large cities are well-equipped and have skilled workers which is not available in rural areas. As a result, people may not be satisfied with their living conditions.
In conclusion, while encouraging businesses have a positive effect to the economy which offers advantages such as, reducing traffic jams with improving air quality, creating new jobs with declining unemployment rates, it can affect negatively to the environment.
