In contemporary world it is highly perceived that reading comics from a young age causes the rotting of children’s mind instead of providing good quality of education. I strongly agree with this statement.
Reading comics is not a bad way of educating the students but certainly is not the best. These books contain supernatural stories which makes children from young age obsessed to read. These young individuals try to relate themselves with superheroes by performing. As a result they try to reciprocate the actions and behaviours of the heroes. For example – children try to perform same stunts performed by the superheroes which in turn causes severe injuries to children. Making them read comics from a young age makes them detach from the hostilities of life which is why they became idealistic instead of realistic, logical, and practical.
On the other hand reading from an early age is considered to be a supporting pillar which enhances the grammar, vocabulary, and reading skills of young individual. Some may argue comic books are best books to read for young children and provide the best possible education to students since it offers minimalistic texts with pictures. This in turn help them understand the main story even if they’re not able to understand or read the texts.
To sum up, although reading from an initial years of life enhances the grammar and vocabulary of an individual, I still agree that reading comics from an early age only rusts Children’s mind then provide ideal quality of education. This is because it puts children far away from realities of life which causes them to suffer in near future.
