There are people who believe that limiting air travel is the only way to stop air pollution.
A majority of individuals who agree with this statement worry about the smoke that airplanes produce. This has a point because planes have massive engines that make a lot of detrimental gases which can pollute the air. Furthermore, smoke diffuses into the higher levels of the atmosphere; therefore, it is able to hazard the ozone layer.
However, I cannot agree with this statement. Despite the fact that air travel creates some harmful gases, it is no match for other causes of air pollution. In contrast, different kinds of factories produce particularly more smoke. For instance, only one coal factory in a single day can create more smoke than an airplane in a whole year. Moreover, even nature itself can cause more air pollution than air travel. For example, one explosion of volcano is more disastrous than all air travel in its entire history.
To sum up, no matter how much smoke air travel may cause, it does not produce even 1% of all the harmful gases in the air. Additionally, scientists who fight air pollution use air travels to conduct their research more effectively and detailed.
