It is a contentious issue whether there is a need for the usage of movies, games and computers in studies. I concur with the stance of using all these because these three factors can increase understanding, and cognitive and artistic skills among students.
To begin with, there are numerous reasons why the usage of videos, games and computers is necessary in education. Primarily, when movies are used, pupils can grab the historical facts and incidents in an easy way. For instance, a research conducted by The Guardian Newspaper in March 2022 stated that 65% of students attentively overcame the complexity of ancient history subjects when schools showed them films related to it. Hence, the visual form of education can be a cause of better understanding along with a long-lasting impact on their mind to remember all these.
Further, including games in education can be beneficial for schoolers’ cognitive skills. For example, the World Education Council, a UK-based organization, revealed in the annual report for 2021 that a tremendous 30% rise in mental ability and brain responses had been noted among learners since schools added a special period for playing games. Therefore, if students participate in games, they may enhance their quick reflex actions against uncertain situations and ultimately it can be a reason for a multi fold rise in their decision-making and time management processes.
Lastly, computers can play an indispensable role in filling artistic virtues in students. To conclude, I completely agree with the approach of using movies, games and computers in schooling as these have benefits in terms of augmented realization, and logical and creative skills.
