It goes without saying that in our contemporary world the Internet has come to play a great role in our lives. We use it almost for everything; research, entertainment, seeking new jobs, keeping in touch with others and so on. While some people state that the Internet is not a need for people to continue their lives, others oppose this idea by claiming that his notion may have been true in the past but certainly not now in this digital age.
To begin with the idea that there is nothing on Earth that is more important than education, and the people who can’t afford proper education are able to find so many resources online to help them improve at what they are good at. There is no life without learning, and unfortunately, there is so much lost potential in people who just aren’t lucky enough to have support for their education. Considering the benefits that the Internet provides humans in this respect, it should be accessible for everyone everywhere.
Moreover, the Internet is a great way of keeping up with what is going on in the world, such as news about politics, economics, human rights and all the other subjects that concern every human being. It is no coincidence that the awareness of people to the existence of discriminations towards races, cultures, genders, people with different sexual orientations and more has increased more rapidly since the Internet has become a common way of distributing news. Therefore, everyone should have a right to be a part of this huge system that connects people all over the world and help them understand one another.
Furthermore, keeping people distracted from their problems, hobbies are a must in their lives. In order to keep them mentally healthy and energetic, everyone needs entertainment, but without enough financial support it is almost impossible to have them nowadays. That’s why at least having hobbies like playing video games or simulations, reading books, learning new skills via Internet should be free for all people so that no one has to ponder about their problems every day without any distraction.
In conclusion the view that i hold in respect is that although some people say the Internet is worth the cost and should be paid by the people using it, in my opinion, everyone deserves to use it. The reasons behind my choice are living without the Internet in this new world would be pointless and excessively hard.
