Since the beginning of social media apps, people have seen all kind of content the positive and the negative in these apps. Therefore, the society have raised concerns about the use of these apps for underage of 16, such as, the negative effect on the brain like, slowing their uptake and increasing forgetfulness. This dilemma has triggered a debate on whether social media apps should be banned for underage of 16. Some argue that its need to provide more regulations and oversight on the content. Ultimately, social media apps should be banned for children under 16 for two reasons: safeguarding children from online threats and harmful exposure from content.

Additionally, online grooming considered one of the big threats on underage of 16, because its hard for parents and guardians to detect the danger that are coming from this apps and protects them from hunters using anonymity to their advantage and target their children through direct messages leading to cases of abduction. This means that if social media apps have been banned it would have decreased the rate of threats on children, like kidnaping cases.
Minors under age of 16 should not be access to social media platforms because its harmful content. All kind of content can see in these apps, so parents have been afraid for their children from the exposure of unsafe content like, inappropriate content for their age and this can lead to trigger them to be in a state of shock, because of the content that have seen in these apps. Also, there are many scams videos that there are targeting children, because children under 16 may lack the maturity and critical thinking skills necessary to navigate these dangers effectively. So, at the end people should safeguard their children from any harmful dangerous content and for that social media should be banned from kids.
