There is no doubt that, people have different views about the governments should invest in more public transportation systems. While some individuals thinks that improving roads and highways is more essential. My personal inclination falls with first given statement and the benevolent merits of public transportation systems are elaborated in below passage.
To commence with, the government, in every country needs to provide good public transportation for its citizens. Furthermore, spending a budget on trains or trams would be good idea, as it can reduce the stress of traffic jams. For instance, some cities has only one or two train stations. Therefore, adding up a lots of train stations will make it conviniently for everyone to reach their destinations. Also it can reduce the traffic on the roads. Moreover, if some individual won’t able to drive or cannot afford the car they can easily use the public transportation. Additionally, meanwhile using the public transportation decrease pollution levels and enhancing air pollution.
On the other hand, roads and highways are vital because they have a direct effect on road accident statistics. For instance, a road with poor lighting and signage decreases the driver’s visuality and put their life in risk. So, great amounts of budget are needed, which should be provided by the government, to guarantee a safe and fast journey for the individuals. Additionally, in urban areas don’t have to much space for making roads despite being a house and buildings.
In conclusion, it is undeniable fact that, government should spending include both making roads and highways as well as improving public transportation systems. So that it would decrease traffic congestion and safety.
