The relevance of information to our lives can never be underestimated. Today, WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok and others are wiping out the traditional pen and paper means of disseminating information. Therefore, I see it necessary the government cominng in to regulate these media and in turn protecting and managing the privacy of the citizens. This will also put an end to the chunk of misinformation conveyed every day.
Primarily, as the government is taking responsibility in managing essential resources such as water and electricity and the likes, to avoid over exploitation of citizens, likewise it’s time expertise must be trained and put in charge to handle these social media handles. This will also quality of service to the clients.
Moreover, if the government is considering promoting and sustaining private businesses, then there is the need for some laws to be enacted to bind the developers and operators as well as the users platforms. The developers must have theirs to enhance quality of the send to the market. In similar way, clients must also have theirs to check the chunky of information that causes fear and panic to the other users.
In addition to the discussed above, in situations where some users go against terms and conditions of developers as well as laws protecting other users, sanctions have to be given to the culprits. Again, similar sanctions have to given to the managers of these handles when they fail to protect the privacy of clients making them susceptible for fraudsters attacks.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that, with the implementation of the above measured and the likes will produce a positive turn in our social media platforms. Also, the quantum of unnecessary information spread out will be reduced. Developers will only sell out quality products to users and also review their terms and condition. In fact misinformation spread out will be reduced to zero.
