Some believe that museums and art galleries are no longer needed due to the fact that most information containing things about culture and history can be found through online platforms. I disagree with the statement, as I will explain.

Firstly, I cannot deny for the fact that there is a certain amount of people who prefer using online platforms for searching information about everything in general, including history, artifacts, and culture. Online platforms do impact our lives in a good way. It contains details and explanations of everything one wants to know which is actually accurate. However, access to websites for finding things about ancient history instead of going to real places is definitely not the best way to learn about it. Museums and galleries offer a unique real life experience that allows us to go to the exhibition to see real artifacts that is from that period of time by our naked eyes, as well as some activities that they provide to learn through the workshops in educational programs, so that the tourists and customers will find history, which most humans find it boring, as something entertaining.

Moreover, museums and art galleries are places for tourism to help increase the country’s economy and make the country more popular for having a remarkable place to visit. Most historic places will have souvenirs where visitors can purchase stuff to keep as a memory. This is another way to earn more income for the country as well. Another advantage is that citizens will have more places to consider applying for jobs so if museums and galleries are all gone, they will have fewer places to work at.

All things considered, It is true that searching knowledge about ancient history in online platform can give you a lot of informations. Nevertheless, going to certain places where include real pieces of history information or object that had been used in many period can gives one more exciting experience as well as more accurate information which are obviously checked by the experts. Therefore, Museums and art galleries should not be gone.
