As much of the data about history and culture are available online, art galleries and museums are no more needed. I will illustrate both the sides and include my own perspective with examples.
On the one hand, I think there are many reasonable reasons for this and I am going discuss them in detail. The first and foremost point is that, people are now more busy with their own jobs and studies, so it is not really easy for them to move somewhere and get information. As a result, they love to get and collect it online. The second pivotal point is that, when we collect data from websites, we can choose from so many sources to prove and check the authenticity, which is not possible by moving physically to art galleries and museums. For example, I believe that, last month I was preparing a thesis paper, and I tried visit some of them, but due to huge traffic I failed. So I had no option but to collect from online sources. Another reason for this is, many people even live in dispersed and far places, communicating from those are not easy, but surfing nets rather quite easier and faster for them. In a word, I tend to think that, online is a blessing from humanity in all respect.
On the other hand, there are people who argue, some issues are there, which I am going describe briefly. Firstly, I would like to say that,websites do not give accurate information all time because they are not update new thing on time .Moreover, it also seems to me that, if we visit museum and art galleries physically, we will gather knowledge by seeing own eyes . For instance, sometimes we would tend to think that,people can learn better practically than collect data from online .Last but not the least one is that,these are represent one country culture and tradition which are tourist attraction, so some believe that ,museum and art galleries are need for us.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that, there are both positive and negative outcomes of this, however, with some effective measures and conscious approach of individuals, these can mitigate them.
