It is argued that healthcare should be the main priority of the governments rather than other sectors due to public health which leads to higher quality of life. I disagree with this argument as governments should provide equal attention to all sections, such as education and technology.
Prioritizing healthcare over other fields can improve the quality of life. The average life expectancy may rise due to financial aid provided by the government as it might offer regular free check points and more affordable surgeries. Health check points can raise the awareness of the people concerning their health conditions, as a result of which illnesses may be cured in the early stages and this prevents from disease transmission. Furthermore, the lower rate of premature death can be achieved by reducing the cost of the operations and treatments for people with low income. For example, transplanting organs such as livers and kidneys normally costs a high amount of money which makes it almost impossible for poor people to afford, consequently, they are likely to suffer and die after a particular period of time.
Balanced focus on spheres namely, education and technology however, also plays a key role in fostering the innovation of the country. Healthcare highly depends on these fields as education boosts knowledge and skills of the health service workforce to become experts in their occupations and enable patients have their surgeries carried out by well-educated doctors. Moreover, contribution to technology gives opportunities to have modernized laboratories to discover new medicine for immedicable ailments and create special equipment that is vital for advanced surgeries. As a resulti the innovations in these spheres assist to have better healthcare system. For instance, eye operations required much effort and time in the past, but nowadays, because of developed technology it is done without difficulties in a few minutes by means of laser.
In conclusion, despite the argument that governments should focus more on healthcare system as it has favorable effects on the standard of life, I disagree because maintaining healthcare cannot be accomplished without other areas which need equity of attention
