Opinions are divided on whether media breaks the personal spaces of famous people by sharing their privacy with the public or whether it emerges as an important aspect of gaining recognition. Although sacrificing privacy is a means of reaching fame, I would argue it exerts a severe impact on most celebrities.
On the one hand, sharing privacy through the media is part of being famous. Violation of privacy by the media can be a contributing factor in boosting their recognition. When celebrities upload videos demonstrating their typical day, including family reunions or issues with them, they are likely to attract more and more fans who are desperately intrigued by how public figures lead a life. This promotes employment opportunities such as contracts with advertising agents or being an ambassador for thriving companies, offering a substantial amount of money. Renowned Kim Kardashian is a case in point. She is well-regarded as a Hollywood star who achieved success in her career by being a globally discussed celebrity on social media, a way that brought her unparalleled benefits to become glamourous.
These arguments notwithstanding, I believe the media has a profound role in losing privacy. To clarify, if social networks continuously keep the public informed about their situations and social activities, it rarely gives celebrities a chance to enjoy their private lives, which in turn leads them to feel frustrated and dissatisfied with their lifestyle. Furthermore, this also takes a toll on their professional lives, causing them to leave their careers. For example, in my country, several world-renowned singers, including Shahzoda, had to stop singing and taking part in public events due to the media and the troubles they caused her family.
In conclusion, though being a celebrity is linked to a share of personal life, I believe constant media coverage negatively affects celebrities, fostering a sense of disappointment as well as triggering them to quit.
