In today’s world, people can live in a large family with grandparents, while others prefer to live independently from them. Some individuals believe that everyone should live with their parents in adulthood, whereas an another group of residents tend to move on to a separate home. Living together has advantages and disadvantages and in this essay I will discuss both viewpoints and give my perspective.
On the one hand, living with senior parents has a great number of positive aspects, such as consistent supporting and closer relationship. For instance, elder person should be helped daily to prevent some accidents since he may have health issues. Moreover, children can have more interesting life as their grandparents nearby. Furthermore, adults tend to spend a huge amount of time on work, while their children may have lack of attention and thus grandparents’ help would be essential. It is great when family members help each other, it makes life easier and more interesting.
On the other hand, independent living is also inevitable, due to wishes of privacy and self-sufficient. For example, adults tend to want making own decision, but if they live with parents it can be much more complicated. Differences in opinions could lead to an argument, in which, a lot amount of time family will in tense atmosphere. A person more likely will receive unasked advices if he live with senior parents, but he is not a child anymore. As a result, this style of living may not be suitable for some people due to possible conflicts.
In conclusion, both of perspectives have advantages. It depends on situation and person how to live better. However, in my point of view, adults should have enough own space for making decision and life, without parents nearby.
