Nowadays, more and more people believe that bringing pets to work should be allowed. Despite its clear advantages, such as uplifting the environment and creating a pleasant work culture, I personally think it might be a source of distraction or, worse, have some health hazards.
A clear positive impact of having pets in workplaces is their ability to create a relaxed atmosphere. For example, dogs are known for being emotional support animals; they can come in handy when situations are stressful. Therefore, having animals around can be helpful for professionals’ well-being.
On the other hand, it is important to consider the potential health hazards that might come with having animals roaming around the office. An example of this would be disposing of their waste, if not cleaned properly it can lead to infections. Not to mention those with allergies; if an employee is allergic to a certain animal, this might lead to anaphylactic shock, which can be life-threatening.
Overall, I believe that by setting up strict regulations to control what and how many animals can enter the office, we can balance both the advantages and disadvantages.
