Band 5+: Some parents buy their children whatever they ask for, and allow their children to do whatever they want. Is this a good way to raise children? What consequences could this style of parenting have for children as they get older?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

It is true that some parents are of a permissive nature, which means they fulfill every demand of their children and let them do whatever they want without any restrictions. This type of parenting technique is not advisable as it not only spoil the kids but also it has a negative impact on their future.

This type of parenting technique is not the best way to raise your children, as children’s will have demanding nature or self-centered attitude due to which they will have aggressive nature as a result they will not respect others, break laws, etc. however there are better ways of parenting like instead of buying them everything teach them to earn that thing by completing a particular task and if they fail to achieve it, they can’t have the product, by this method they will learn hard work, discipline, values, etc. as it will have a positive impact in their future. Example there was a news I had heard of 14 years old boy, his parents always agree to whatever he ask for, but one day his parents said no and rejected to buy a smartphone as a result he can’t handle the rejection and committed a suicide.

There are lot of undesirable consequences children’s will face in their future, as they had been in a friendly nature with their parents but outside world is lot of challenges as a result there are lot of rejections, they might face in the end there are chances of depression, stressful life, etc. there are more negative impacts that are discovered, as parents never restrict their child in any task, they never follow’s rules and regulations and there are high chances of committing a crime. Example there was a news that went viral and everybody had heard of it, a billionaire child was over speeding on city highways and he met an accident and ended the life of 5 people who was walking on the sideways of the road but the child was not afraid of laws as he said my father will handle this situation and eventually he was not charge with any crime.

In conclusion, it is clear that permissive nature of parents is not a good way of parenting as it plays a major role in spoiling kids and also has a negative long term impact on their child’s future because of their demanding nature, getting angry for small reasons, high chances of committing a crime, unhealthy lifestyle.
