Band 4+: Some parents have access to their teenage children's accounts on social media and control their online activities. To what extent do you agree or disagree.

In recent years, there is increasing number of developed countries giving money to more impoverished countries. Some people believe that in order to solve poverty, rich countries need to have other supporting strategies for developing countries rather than financial aid. This essay is totally agree with this statement for several reasons.

Nowadays, with the rise of using social media among children. It is said that parents have access to their online status. This essay is partly agree with this statement for several reasons

On the one hand, parents need to have access to their children’s accounts and control their online ativities. First, teenagers stil do not have enough awarenenss about social platform dangers like sensitive content or violent video. Thus, parents should have responsibility for checking their accounts to reduce potential risks. Second, it is critical for managing their children activities on social platforms especially personal information. According to a recent survey by Cambridge University, controlled activities on social platform accounts for 45% in teen’s safety against cyber crimes. This, in turn, help teenagers stay safe;y on social platform and avoid bad information on Internet platform.

On the other hand, teenagers also need to have privacy on these platform. Teens period is golden time for them to to explore their identity and personal hobbies without judgement of parents, which prevent these individual from develop their strength. Furthermore, constant surveillance can cause anxiety, depression and lack of confidence, instead of relaxing and feeling secure to others who have privacy. Hence, these can considerably contribute the independence and fully development of teenagers

In conclusion, while parents’ control help teenagers stay safely on Internet, teenagers’ privacy plays a role in personal development, that better aid teenagers for their emotional well-being
