For society, wedding is a great moment to celebrate as the beginning of new phase in life, spend the rest of life live with spouse. Some argue that wedding has to be celebrate with big event, while the other choose to do intimate wedding. I will explain both of those views and give my own perspectives on it.
Majority of people hope that wedding will only happen once in a life time, that the reason behind why people decides to celebrate it with big party to facilitate all guests that will attend and be the witness from big changes in someone life’s. Furthermore, wedding become family gathering, because usually people will attend to important events especially feast for family member. Moreover, the bigger number of people who attend and the more majestic the wedding, sometimes becomes something valuable for both the couple and their parents. As an example, the majority of people who live in villages, still choose to do grand weddings for their son or daughter, without thinking about the cost. The invitation is shared with any relatives or acquaintances even until neighboring village.
On the other hand, some choose to do intimate weddings who only attended by some who the couples really get to know with in purpose to a sacral wedding. Due to only the limitation of the guest, maybe it will not make big expenses for the wedding cost, so we can allocate it to the other things. Some couples choose to allocate the leisure cost for food upgrade as a form of appreciation to the guest. There are some who allocate the budget for married life such as buy a house and all the features or for a honeymoon.
It is understandable that every couple have their own wedding dream, grand wedding or intimate wedding. For me personally, intimate wedding have a lot of positive things that I can not ignore, because married life is more importance than the celebration.
