There are an argue that gorvernment should spend more money in public trasport systems, while some people believe that road networks should be improved for several reason. Personally, i think government should invest equally in both option more than just focus in one way.
On the one hand, public transportation has many benefits. If the government builds better buses and trains, people can travel more easily and cheaply. This can reduce the number of cars on the road, which helps the environment and makes less traffic. For example, in some big cities like Singapore, the subway system is very fast and clean, so many people use it instead of driving their own cars.
On the other hand, some people argue that private cars are more convenient. In many countries, people live far from city centers, and they cannot always depend on buses or trains. For them, better roads are necessary to save time and travel safely. If the roads are small or broken, traffic jams and accidents happen more often.
In conclusion, both sides have strong arguments, but I believe both should be funded by gornverment
