This essay will present my opinion on some people belive that academic subjects such as mathematics and history should be taught in schools ,othe believe that learning practical life skills are more important. This essay will explore both sides of this topicand explain what a balanced approach is necessary.
Many people think school should mainly focus on academic subjects because most of the students have interest in history and we know that everyone want to learn about their traditions and their culture as well. Also there are many professions which are directly link with the academic education like doctor,engineer etc. Moreover, there are many positive aspects of academic education because it help us to build critical thinking and also build knowledge which can be use in different field, such as technology and science. For examples, by getting academic knowledge people are able to get better carrier opportunities throughout the world and we know that this is only valid for educated people only.
Additionally, other belive that practical life skills are more beneficial in evedyday life. These skills make everyone independent. Knowing how to cook or fix things can save time and money in adult life. Similarly, not every students are able to get academic knowledge due to less interest of these students in their studies and this is the most common problem with some students. Additionally, a student who lears carpentry may start their own business.
Furthermore, in my point of view, both of them are important and should be taught all together in every educational institutions. Also, by getting both of them prepare them for professional and personal life. A person who can get both of them are able to face every kind of life challenges. For example, Elon Musk (entwrpreneur) combined academic knowledge with practical skills to innovate in multiple industries.
In summary, a balnced approach work best in this field and if government make compulsory this thing then it is easily achieveable. While, academic subjects are crucial for intellectual development, practical skills are equally important for daily life. Lastly, every educational institutions need to take this initiative for the betterment of every deserving students.
