It is often argued that business choices should be given by managers. From my perspective, I firmly don’t believe that only the manager’s decisions will help their corporations develop in a sustainable way.
On the one hand, many businesses take a vital observation from the managers due to believing the knowledge and the experience that they had. Moreover, the manager’s decision-making could be faster as fewer people are involved, reducing the time needed for discussion and consensus-building. Finally, managers are held accountable for their actions, which can lead to a more structured and responsible decision-making process.
On the other hand, a strong company is not just built by one individual, it’s came from all employees in. Firstly, that company will get diverse perspectives, including employees who bring a variety of opinions, leading to more innovative and comprehensive solutions. Secondly, decisions are more likely to be implemented if employees are involved in the process as they understand it and contribute to the outcome. Finally, the company will have a firm connection between individuals, which is a significant target that company’s aim to achieve.
To sum up, while the manager’s decisions are important; however, corporations also need to take a more critical look at the employee’s perspective which are more diverse. By doing so, the corporations will be more strong and sustainable.
