There is an ongoing debate about whether homework should be given to students. I agree that less homework will allow students to participate in other essential prospects. This essay will examine both perspectives before presenting a conclusion.
On the one hand, regular homework is a powerful tool for instilling discipline in students. Mandatory assignments assigned by teachers require students to complete them daily; this helps students understand the importance of consistency, which not only improves their academic performance but also fosters intellectual development and builds confidence. These skills are essential for achieving professional success and becoming a well-rounded individual. In contrast, reducing homework may make students lazy, increase the chances of failing exams, and encourage procrastination in other areas of life.
On the other hand, proponents of lessen the homework argue that along with study, a physical development of students are also imperative. Playing outdoor games make pupils physical as well as mentally stronger, which is necessary for focusing on study and improving academic achievements. Additionally, because of burden of homework, some students may feel depressed and that impacts negatively on pupil’s overall development. Some parents are not well-educated to help their childern to complete homework due to which it becomes a compulsion for parents to arrange tution classes. Consequently, increases the financial constrains on parents.
