The jury is out on whether children should allocate more time to going outdoors instead of playing Internet games and chatting on online platforms. There are two camps of thought. Some argue outdoor activities encourage children to maintain physical and mental health, whereas others say that online communication has been developing and a larger number of individuals built a lot of relationships with members who are on the same wavelength. Both points of view are understandable. However I am convinced that pros of playing outside overweigh the cons.
Nowadays, less interaction with others, such as classmates, weaken the social skills to make strong and healthy relationships at school. This is the original example that show many students decide to quit commuting to schools, due to complicated school friendships these days. According to research conducted by the Japanese government, at least 75% of students potentially have issues related to friends and teachers. This tendency strongly relates to recent alterations, which students prefer to spend years indoors and keep distance from others, rather than hanging out with mates.
Secondly, along with relationships, what students ought to deal with problems is that they worsen the quality of life and increase the risk of diseases. There is no doubt that exercise has a positive effect on our body. Additionally, these activities can play a significant role in setting a tone for daily life. For instance, a large number of professors point out that daily workouts at the park help people boost the concentration for studying. At the bottom line is more opportuinities to play outdoors not only prevents illness caused by unhealthy life, but it can also develop productivity and motivation for learning at school.
In summary, with the advent of online communication tools and entertainment, children are more likely to value time at their own houses. Having said that, I believe that outdoor experience offers physical health benefits and well-being. It is essential that the educational institutions address the issue without underestimating its significance.
