Some individuals believe that technological tools and the internet will make teachers unimportant in the classroom. I totally disagree with this statement, because teachers are more effective for the students, and they can make students more committed to their subjects.
One of the reasons I disagree that teachers can’t be replaced by digital tools and the internet is because teachers play a big role in impacting students by talking to them and helping them with their homework. All these are forms of communication from mentors to develop students’ social skills and provide guidance. For example, students can figure out their ambitions, dreams, and hobbies with teachers’ support. This personal support is very important because a computer cannot understand a student’s feelings or problems. When teachers talk to learners, they give them the confidence to succeed in their future. Therefore, the emotional support from a teacher is something that the internet can never provide to a young person.
Moreover, educators are important for monitoring students and encouraging discipline in education. Meanwhile, the benefits of digital tools have limitations. For instance, educators have the ability to check on learners in many ways, whether face-to-face or by number or email. This constant supervision is necessary to keep the classroom organized and quiet. While the internet has a lot of information, it cannot control the behavior of students or make them follow the rules.
In conclusion, this essay completely disagrees that gadgets and the internet will diminish the role of teachers, because educators are more influential and closely follow students’ development with ease.
