Nowadays, when the public faces rising criminals in the society, many people revolve around whether a criminal action is affected by upbringing aspects surrounding their life or by biological inheritances. Although lots of discussions suggest that inherited traits could impact the psychology and awareness of a person, I believe that an individual’s personality and decision are mainly determined by their growing atmosphere.
Admittedly, plenty of biological theories demonstrate that psychological anxiety and lacking control behaviors could be passed down to the next generation through genetics. In fact, almost all offenders have their own chaotics in thoughts and morality which are actually placed in the nervous system and mentality as an anxious issue. All these aspects naturally set harmful risks to the character and consciousness of their children. For instance, the proportion of criminals who are from families whose members are lawbreakers or have committed crime is always more significant than others. Through it, it presents an actual condition that problems in psychology, humanity and knowledge are highly inherited from parents’ biological genes to their children’s.
On the other hand, I persuade against that the threats from environmental features play a more harmful role in forming the attitude of an individual. Differ to natural inheritance; nurtures, such as family condition, relationships, neighbors, and teaching manipulate and direct the view of a person about the world by themselves, not by passing over different generations. When adolescents gain pessimistic educations, their sights for the world would be controlled adversely, leading to losing capability to realise whether their actions are allowed or not. For example, if a child grows up in a home where they are sworn with vulgar and disrespectful words, punished and placed in a dark hole of disappointment, they would lie in a criminal way to avenge the life as much as they shouldered. Therefore, growth and direction are key to save children away from crime and lawbreakers.
In conclusion, despite lots of current scientific projects present an ability that behavioral pattern and psychological anxiety partly inherited, educating and upbringing organizations play a greater mission in deciding the mentality and mind of an individual, especially offenders.
