Nowadays many people consider that the most effective way for preserving the environment is raising people’s knowledge about natural world. However, others believe that this way is not working. In this essay I will look at both sides and give my own opinion.
On the one hand, educating people about nature and how disastrous can be our lifestyle to it is really efficient. A lot of humans and big corporations due to their unawareness have caused a lot of damage to Earth and its ecology. For example, generation that was born in the first half of 20th century started to use a lot of plastic which resulted in really considerably polluted air, water and environment. And nowadays, those who are educated about natural world usually try to save it instead of choosing their comfort.
On the other hand, there is a big list of much more effective ways how to save the environment. Some people will not get rid of their habits even if they know that it is dangerous to the future of humans. For example, people, especially government, should start by introducing prohibition for using some materials or visiting some fragile ecosystems, so people will be aware of fines for damaging nature.
To conclude, in my opinion, the most effective way to protect the environment is to combine these both sides. Educating people will provide them with information how they behave towards the environment, so they will try to save it instead of ruining it. Also, this way should be combined with bans for creating and using some materials or visiting some natural areas.
