Nowadays, there is an increased enthusiasm in people to participate in life-threatening sports activities like skydiving and rock climbing. But, some individuals are of the opinion these extreme sports events should be banned due to the risk involved. I partially agree with the mentioned statement. In the following essay the reasons for both agreement and disagreement will be discussed.
To begin with, activities such as skydiving and rock climbing are highly life risking and even a small mistake will cost life. For example, recently in India a rock climber lost his life, when his rope got cut off in the middle of climbing a mountain. In addition, children at young age are highly getting influenced by watching these events online. In some areas, these kids are trying to climb small hills will the help of a rope, without realizing the amount of danger involved. So, in order to curb these situations it is necessary to completely seize these sporting activities.
.On the other hand, my reasons for disagreement are, a complete ban on these events will impact the livelihood of certain athletes, who rely completely on the money they earn for taking part in these events. In addition a full ban will impact tourism industry, because these are their main source of attraction to grab attention of tourists. Furthermore, certain individuals who take part in skydiving especially to get a adrenaline rush and to stress them out from their busy work life will be drastically impacted.
In conclusion, there are both upsides and downsides to a complete seizure on extreme sports events. By following regulated safety measures in these sports and granting permissions to only certain areas to conduct these events can possibly help to curb this problem out instead of completely banning the events
