It is commonly believed by some that sports should be highly prioritized by government, while crucial spheres like education and healthcare are considered relatively less important. Personally, I do not agree with this statement due to some reasons since education and health play a vital role in population’s well-being and creating educational society.
On the one hand, one of the main aims of stimulating sports programs is to promote physical health among citizens. This approach encourages people to take part in physical fitness activities and forces them to follow regular exercises, which strengthens their muscles and improves cardiovascular health. For example, chronic illnesses such as obesity, diabetes and heart diseases that the majority of people suffer greatly from can be avoided by maintaining an active lifestyle. As a result, the population experience better health outcomes, leading to reduced demand for healthcare programs and minimized medical costs. Therefore, implementing sports activities may contribute a more productive lifestyle for both people and government.
On the other hand, in my view, education is essential in acquiring foundation knowledge of societal development. Education shapes the perspective of individuals by inculcating valuable skills and critical thinking abilities that are required for economic growth and innovation. As a consequence, it offers opportunities to improve their lives, to have educated workforces and to address complex societal issues. Subsequently, that country will overcome poverty levels because of sustainable economics. Therefore, education can be a great influence to develop country, providing fundamental steps towards societal improvement.
In conclusion, although sports investments could enable to create a healthy environment and society while avoiding expenses for medical treatments, I still believe that education must receive excessive emphasis in terms of economic growth and societal development.
