It is widely believed that governments should allocate a substantial amount of funds to explore new forms of life and extraterrestrial lands. However, others believe that directing money towards solving problems which the Earth is facing today is important. In this essay, I will discuss both perspectives before presenting my personal opinion.
On the one hand, many people believe that governments should provide scientists with sufficient subsidies to explore other planets. This is because this initiative can bring many groundbreaking discoveries, such as cutting-edge technologies for a country. For instance, in the USA, a number of researchers contend that if we connect with intelligent creatures, who live on other planets, we can acquire knowledge to alleviate climate change significantly. Furthermore, not only does this initiative help mitigate such climatic instability, but we can also create modern innovations easily, which improves our lifestyle. Therefore, spending money on such explorations is highly beneficial.
On the other hand, certain individuals assert that focusing on tackling issues facing the Earth today should be prioritized, as they believe that the environmental crisis is becoming a more serious problem than ever before. Air pollution, for example, is causing environmental degradation, which in turn causes extinction of many animals. If this situation continues, we may encounter a pressing issue in the near future. To remedy this concern, the officials should equip local companies with adequate financial support to carry out eco-volunteering duties. By doing this, they will be able to prevent fauna from vanishing.
In conclusion, although funding space exploration can bring advantages like combating climate change and generating high-tech innovations, environmental concerns remain a crucial aspect. Hence, I firmly believe that placing a greater emphasis on issues that are happening on the surface of the earth is more pivotal in this regard. Consequently, authorities should take an active role in this task.
