Some people think the government should spend money on important services like healthcare and education, while others feel the arts, such as music and theater, also need support. This essay will look at both sides of the argument and give my opinion.
People who believe in funding healthcare and education argue that these services are necessary for people’s daily lives. Healthcare helps people stay healthy, and education gives them skills to find jobs. Supporters of this view say that spending money on these areas makes the whole society stronger and safer. In their opinion, arts are less important than these basic needs.
On the other hand, some people think the arts are also important. They say that music, theater, and other arts make life more interesting and enjoyable. The arts can also bring people together and help them understand each other better. Additionally, arts events and activities can attract tourists, which helps the local economy by creating jobs and bringing in money.
In my opinion, healthcare and education should come first because they are necessary for people’s lives. However, the arts should still get some support, even if it’s a smaller amount. This way, people can enjoy the benefits of both essential services and cultural activities, helping to create a balanced society.
