Some people prefer cars to travel within a city, while others think that using bicycles is a better alternative in a city. This essay will discuss both views and provide my own ideas that support both views.
To begin with, the main reason people prefer their own cars to bicycles and other forms of transportation is that cars are convenient. With a car, one can travel anywhere, anytime, without being restricted by public transport schedules or cycling routes. Additionally, cars provide shelter from inclement weather, which can be a significant advantage in cities with harsh climates. Furthermore, cars can accommodate multiple passengers, making them an ideal choice for families or groups of friends. In my opinion, cars seem like the obvious choice for city travel.
On the other hand, bicycles are environmentally friendly, cost-effective, and promote physical activity. Moreover, bicycles require minimal maintenance and do not incur fuel costs, making them a budget-friendly option. Furthermore, bicycles can navigate through narrow city streets and alleys, allowing for a more intimate exploration of the city. From an environmental and health perspective, bicycles seem like the way to go. I believe that people who prefer bicycles over cars have accounted for these advantages.
In conclusion, preferring cars or bicycles depends on people’s wishes and personal convenience. I think both cars and bicycles have numerous advantages.
