Discussions about restricting international travel to minimize environmental issues are becoming popular. Others say that the benefits of international tourism outweigh the negative impacts. There are valid opinions and I will consider them now through this essay.
International tourism may harm the environment, especially uncontrolled and illegal travel that breaks governmental rules, such as the demands of facilities that could damage natural creatures. Furthermore, the increase in pollution would be the main problem following this issue. As people can see international flights for vacations would release much toxic gas to the air that is dangerous for people and the ecosystem affected. In addition, water is also impacted, for instance, the beaches in Bali are full of rubbish every holiday peak season because of international tourists who do not pay attention to the rules.
On the other hand, the local market sees international travel as a potential. Moreover, the tourists that come from overseas need exotic entertainment that never seen before. Symbiotically, the local people and tourists would gain benefits, such as promotion, education, and many beneficial things related to economics. Sometimes, local tourism providers do not anticipate the risk of the travel as long they get a lot of money. However, the improvements in local economics are more important to develop the facilities, market, or advertisement, which invite investors and visitors.
Overall, it is notable that international travel has both positive and negative impacts. Despite the risks, people who work in tourism see that the economic factors are more important that the ecological issues that are overcome.
