Many people face challenging circumstances such as unsatisfying jobs or financial struggles. While some believe it is best to accept these difficulties, others argue that efforts should be made to improve such situations. I personally believe that mixing the two options is benefical to overcome setbacks effectively.
On the one hand, supporters of accepting a challenging situation claim that it allows people to feel less stressed about the situation and make them feel calm. When facing a difficult situation that they cannot control, it is best to accept it and move forward. For example, people cannot control the past, so the best way to feel less stressed is to accept it.
On the other hand, by improving setbacks people can gain confidence and make their lives more meaningful to them. For instance, if individuals have financial difficulties they can breake this setback by working hard. Maybe they can start their businesses or have several jobs. In the end, they can make a large amount of money and feel happy about it.
In my perspective, it is essential to accept situations instantly, then make smart improvements continuously. Because, the real improvements come only if you accept it. Once you see reality clearly, you gain leverage. For instance, you cannot cantrol the wind (acceptance), but you can adjust the sails (improvement). Fighting the wind is pointless, but using it, is mastery.
To sum up, we can gain happiness and calmness, only if we accept and make decisions to improve. Acceptance and improvement are not enemies. They are partners in a precise dance.
