It is often said that it is more essential to fund the development of roads and motorways, whereas others believe that the improvement of public transportation should be aided. From my perspective, I strongly agree with the former view because it can give users a higher quality experience when they use the road, but there are also drawbacks.
On the one hand, many individuals concur that public transportation must be invested to boost the experience for the residents who mainly use this kind of traffic. To be more precise, many investments in public vehicles can increase the quality of facilities such as air conditioners and remaining facilities can be conserved carefully. Moreover, many professional drivers can be hired instead of those who have limited skills. As a result, it can bring to the users a high-quality experience. However, this line of benefits may be valid to a certain degree but fail to satisfy the other residents who normally use their transportation to travel.
On the other hand, it is apparent that the high-quality roads and motorways are also satifying in personal traffic users’ demands. To elaborate, spending money to improve roads can both develop the feelings of people who use their own vehicles and those who use public transportation. Admittedly, the roads are the necessary things to enhance the road users’ experiences. An often-cited example is that in Vietnam, most of the citizens who both use public and personal transport from urban areas complain that they are facing difficulties in travelling on low-quality roads that have numerous holes. Therefore, money should be funded for the enhancement of roads and motorways to develop the residents feeling.
To conclude, although both views have their own reasons, I agree with the former view in terms of how it can advance road users’ experiences.
