Several people hold the notion that being rich is a burden while others believe it is a blessing. I believe having lots of money is an advantage that far outweighs the disadvantage.
Possessing a considerable amount of money enables one to purchase what they desire which makes life easy, comfortable, and full of content. In the midst of this economic crisis era an alarming number of nations engage in it, the prices of essential everyday items are on the rise, which makes it worrying for families with low income to cop with this dilemma, thus, it is a blessing to own lots of money and this results in stimulating a feeling of reassurness, serenity, and lack of anxiety. For example, celebrities are known to be rich, however, we have never witnessed any of them complain about life expenses or the increase in prices, which means it is not something of concern to them. I think this merit can help in adding to society’s happiness.
Being rich has a consequence that one will be surrounded by fake people and relationships. This is because people exploit them and are looking forward to solving their financial problems by approaching wealthy individuals and asking for borrowing money or bragging exteriorly that they are in contact with high-class prestigious people for a better picture. Consequently, this leads to poor relationships that terminate by the end of taking interest from them. For instance, the ex-wife of Leonardo DiCaprio tied the knot with him merely to accuse him of household harassment to get divorced and then the judgment is on her side and makes up for her by receiving money from him. However, this can be solved by being wise, putting boundaries for these types of people, and limiting interactions that involve money matters outside of business.
In conclusion, although taking benefits of someone is a serious downside to being rich, I believe that being able to buy what you need and want is a great reward that transcends the disadvantage.
