Some people rely upon the newspapers as a medium for obtaining information about the major activities that occurred in various corners of the world while others consider digital news as better option for reading news. In this essay I will discuss whether physical form is superior or digital one.
To commence with, I would like to mention that till the advancement of technologies and digital databases, paper work was formally used to maintain records and news was also delivered throughout with the use of newspaper, which was distributed every morning, a process which is still practiced today. Newspapers are officially approved by government and hence there can be no misleading or deceptive information. But on the other hand, website might provide data in very short interval of time but there is much misleading knowledge that can create chaos in the society. For instance, the whatsapp message that get forwarded millions of times displays that a worker from Pepsi company who is suffering from AIDS had mixed his blood in soft drink and in order to prevent disease one must immediately stop consuming beverages. Thus every digital news should be cross checked because it may be fraud as was the case in situation above, on the contrary newspaper always provide true data.
Furthermore, using digital devices can have detrimental effects on eyesight, while this is not an issue with the physical form of information. The subscriptions of many news websites are far more expensive than monthly newspaper subscriptions.
Overall, both ways of obtaining information have pros and cons however newspapers are little ahead of websites due to their real, assured and factual information.
